It’s an exciting time to live in a Detroit apartment with its unique and history. Serving as Michigan’s largest city, Detroit is known as the automotive center for the United States for its historical and continuing role in the American auto industry. The biggest U.S. auto names –General Motors, Ford and Chrysler—have Detroit as their headquarters. If you’re into the auto industry, living in a Detroit apartment for rent may be for you.

Detroit is located near the Canadian border and is the only major U.S. that lays North of Canada territory. During the U.S. Civil War, its access to the Canadian border served a large purpose for the Underground Railroad that helped black slaves escape to Canada. Today, Detroit’s waterside features a high–rise cityscape with art deco and neo–gothic styles such as the Comerica Tower, the Renaissance Center and the Guardian Building. Surrounding neighborhoods are flat structures with homes and Detroit apartments for rent.

Detroit has a distinct music scene and was the first to introduce Motown music to the world. Residents enjoy the nightlife at music venues like the DTE Energy Music Theatre and The Palace of Auburn Hills. Other music events include the popular Detroit International Jazz Festival. Come be my neighbor! I've only been here a short time, but I love it. The amenities are beyond awesome. The staff is helpful and professional. The rooms are beautiful. And this is probably the nicest place I've lived in the D! Great location too! Walking distance from Greektown, Eastern Market, the Dequinder cut, Ford field. Everything is in your backyard! Plus, nothings better than an apartment that serves donuts and coffee every Friday before work!!!!! The only con is the guest parking lot. It's small and normally full. If you're planning a party, you might have to have your guest park outside the gate.

The Pavillion is a good place to reside, but you have to limit your guests because visitor parking is the worst.

First, the Pavilion is at a great location downtown and I absolutely love my view. I lived on the 10th floor for over 7 years and am now on the 22nd floor. The view of the Detroit River, the Renaissance Center, Canada, Greektown, etc. is breath-taking. Second, the staff here is very helpful and friendly. Maintenance issues in my apartment are taken care of quickly and if the main office keeps residents up-to-date on happenings.

I would recommend it to all my friends. It's been a wonderful experience. I've been here 5 years and love it. Parking is the only issue I have and only because I'm in the back in the middle of the unit.
