It's great being so close to Center City, right around the corner from Rittenhouse Square with so many shops and markets nearby. The free wireless and gym memberships are excellent perks and our rent is reasonable. Parking is difficult and the construction right outside our window is taking longer than expected, but overall we're happy here.

The spring and summer weekends can be loud if you leave your windows open like I do (it reminds me of living in the cool atmosphere of L.A.), but otherwise the road is an average city street, with somewhat less traffic than other streets like Walnut or Chestnut. The apartment's floor plan is very nice, and a lot larger than you would imagine from just looking up at it from the sidewalk outside. I could use another few feet of counterspace in the kitchen, but that is solved (somewhat) through use of a table beside the oven. There is plenty of space in the apartment, and the views from the windows are awesome. If you position your sitting furniture just-right in the living room, you can get a spectacular view of the skyscrapers in Center City.

I love the location because it's close to both the MFL and BSL, basically making everything accessible. Overall I am pleased with my apartment however some things are outdated and could use a makeover, for example: the washer and dryer for the building constantly has problems, the cabinetry is inadequate, etc. Because the area has a lot of activity around it at night, it's very important that our front door remain secure at all times.
