Nice and cozy place to stay. The jogging trail around the park is just so good. The apartments have quite high ceilings and well maintained. It would have been better if they cleared the dried leaves more often.

You have a lot of peace and quiet and it's kept clean. They recently replaced muddy areas with rocks, which I appreciate it. I don't like valet trash service because you have to pay for it but if you work late, you can never use it. Management is responsive and maintenance calls are done promptly.

I like my apartment complex, it seems they are getting a little pricey. It is centrally located to shopping. You can be in downtown Austin in less than 15 minutes.

It's very peaceful at the Park with beautiful, well maintained grounds. There are lots of great resident events and the staff is pretty awesome too.

Lush landscape for an apt community-- love the trees...always nice choice of plant materials...staff have gone out of their way to accommodate...great floorplan...valet trash service...no signs of trash dumpsters...property is kept clean...gates are almost always operating...safe...residents so far have been good...and, of course 78749 and school district

The entire staff is always friendly & willing to help (especially the maintenance crews who are out and about every single day). It's a gated community & if/when the gate breaks, is always fixed expediently. The grounds are meticulously maintained and there are dozens of gorgeous large oak trees providing great environment for wildlife. There are always squirrels and birds (cardinals, blue jays, mocking birds & mourning doves) around in the green spaces. There is a large open field perfect for frisbee, a game of catch, or even football/soccer if you can scrounge together a larger group. An outdoor volleyball court, beautiful shaded pool, and a crushed granite patch through green space round out opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. A great fitness center is also available for any interested. The access to Austin is probably my favorite aspect. Situated in Southwest Austin, there is only one brief light to get on either Mopac (Hwy 1) or Ben White (Hwy 71) which are the two best highways in the city if you want to limit your stress. It's a quick jot to downtown and/or UT and even closer to the Barton Creek Greenbelt. If shopping is your thing, the Sunset Valley Shopping Center & Sat. morning Farmer's Market are just across Mopac (only need to take an access road). The Barton Creek mall is one exit north on Mopac and Central Market is a single exit east on 71. I can't say enough about the convenience of location. If we didn't have to move for a job, I wouldn't have a problem staying long term. You'll love it here!

It's quiet (no students) and well kept up. Maintenance responses good. Applicances function well, good hot water, and quality finishing. The only thing that bothers me is that you are required to pay for trash valet service but they come early in the evening, oftentimes before I get home. The rule is that you can only put out the trash after 6:00, so if you aren't home by 8:00, you've probably missed the trash...and they don't pick up on Friday and Saturday. Fortunately, recycling availability is good so it keeps the trash down. My complaint about recycling is that there is no place to put your glass items....so I end up carrying around empty wine bottles to friend's houses to recycle them. That's a real pain.

We live in a nice, dog friendly complex. There are some unsupervised children that play in the parking area's so you always need to check your suroundings when driving. I worry that someone (child or dog) may get hurt because alot of people speed through even though there are speed bumps.

Living here is great! The location is perfect. Close enough to make getting anywhere a breeze, far away enough to be quite and safe. The staff is organized and professional. Anyone who walks through the office doors is greeted with a friendly "hello!" and a warm smile. It doesn't matter if it's a delivery person, a maintenance staff, a current or potential residence, everyone is respected and welcomed. The grounds are FANTASTIC! Unlike other apartments, they kept the trees and built around them. Beautiful, full grown, tree offer relaxing shade through out the complex. There seems to be more green space, trails, and trees, than actual buildings and pavement, which is very rare. The pool area, dog park, and walking trails are always well maintained. Our apartment has a super smart open layout which makes our home feel bigger than it really is. There are several windows through out our apartment so there is plenty of natural light. The crown molding, baseboards, and vaulted ceilings sometimes makes me forget that I live in an apartment. Paying rent and requesting maintenance is fast and easy because it's all online! The Park at Monterey Oaks makes apartment living hassle-free and delightful.

I like the location. It is easy to get to either HWY 290 or MoPac. There are several shops within a 3 minute drive. It is a very quiet and tranquil place to live. The work out room is great. The people are nice and welcoming. Maintanence people are friendly and helpful.
