Nice apartments with new appliances and good floor plans. One complaint is the lack of recycling option. I will definitely ask before I move to another community that does not have facilities that allow you to recycle.

Safe community, conveniently located in the West End. Complaint: the community has a number of sink holes on the property that are not dealt with in a timely manner. The sink holes are dangerous for dog walkers and should be filled in ASAP. There is one large one that has been exposed for over three months and has not been filled in yet.

The apartments are spacious and well kept, the community is safe, and the staff are friendly. I would tell them to be prepared for some frustration with the maintenance response time though. I have been underwhelmed so far with the response to maintenance requests. One request took a week to be completed and it took a call to the office to get a member of maintenance to come and fix the problem. At my last community maintenance requests were responded to within 24 hours (during the week) and I feel that residents of Copper Springs deserve the same diligent response to maintenance issues.

It is mainly college student housing so I can relate to most of my neighbors! The building is old but has the historic charm of Richmond's fan dist. My apartment is sooo spacious with good views of Monument Ave. The maint. staff is nice & friendly & tries hard to take care of the aging building. The office staff is always friendly & willing to help. I can call up to ask if I have received a package in the office or just general questions not pertaining to their job like near by pharmacy etc & they will help out! When I come into the office they call me by name & ask how I am doing.....it just makes me feel at home when away from my real home :))) I <3 it here!!!

It's a fun old building. The location of the building is fantastic, becuase it is in the center of VCU. The staff here at the building are great, they are freindly and willing to help if their are any problems.

I would tell them that the neighborhood is excellent and the layout of the apartments is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, appliances, fixtures, cabinetry, and flooring are in desperate need of an update. If you won't miss modern conveniences like a refrigerator with an ice maker or digital controls on the range and microwave, it's a great place to live...but if you'd prefer to have those things you will want to look elsewhere.

love community and floor plan so far. However slow maintenance, old appliances, and apartments are not energy efficient. Windows, front door and sliding door are TERRIBLY drafty.
